Vimal Isaac
​Vimal an architect, LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, accredited professional), started his journey into the world of aquaponics
in 2009, while he was researching the design of Net Zero Energy Homes.
He started his own successful aquaponics garden in 2014. He continues to experiment, innovate and operate his aquaponics garden as an experimental garden to teach and promote aquaponics. His passion is to grow aquaponics awareness to enable all (globally) to have food security when the supply chain collapses.​

Donald Bacoat
​

Donald’s career started 17 years ago as a marine biologist at the University of Miami researching probiotics in cobia and yellowfin tuna in Panama. Donald obtained his Master of Environmental Science and Management from the University of Rhode Island, where he specialized in bluefin and yellowfin tuna aquaculture. Currently, Donald is working with aquaponics and recirculating aquaculture systems at Fort Valley State University’s Georgia Center for Aquaculture Development.​

Tré Foster
​

Tré is a Maconite who has worked in construction for 35-plus years. He has always had a passion for reduce, reuse, recycle and other sustainability projects. Afer reading an article that mentioned aquaponics didn’t require watering
or weeding, he was sold. He bought his first system about six years ago and
has been a hobbyist since. He quickly realized that he enjoyed building, expanding and improving the system. The fish and garden are a gauge of system performance and a bonus when you harvest.

Stewart Douglas

Stewart enjoyed his early years developing skills, principles and knowledge
in and around rural farming communities. After graduating from Georgia Southwestern College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, he spent 35 years in industrial accounting, procurement and business systems. Since retirement, he has devoted time in studying trends in regenerative food production practices, sustainable economic systems and artisanal crafts. His passion is passing on his knowledge to the next generation, starting with his grandson.​

Kenny Warren

​Kenny was born in Laurens County, Georgia. He received an associate in science from Middle Georgia College and honorable discharge from the Marine Corps. Kenny retired from Emory University, specializing in preventive maintenance. He has been a member of GAAN since its inception. He has assisted in spreading aquaponics awareness in the community with several projects.
